Streets of Fire Blu-ray in May
We are very excited to announce that May 2017 will be bringing you Streets of Fire (Collector's Edition), a title that has been LONG requested by fans. This release features a brand new 2k scan of the interpositive and an entire second disc of bonus features, to be announced at a later date.

Streets of Fire is a great choice for the deluxe treatment. It was one of a handful of Universal titles that appeared on the ill-fated HD-DVD format. Hopefully, Walter Hill's Trespass is on the horizon, too.

Blu-rays of Return of the Dragon and Game of Death from the 4K restorations are coming in May. Hopefully Shout also color corrects these two.
We are happy to announce the release of Return of the Dragon and Game of Death this coming May. As with Fists of Fury and The Chinese Connection, these are new 4k scans, restored from the original negative. Stay tuned to our facebook page for pre-orders and more info soon!

Sigh. To think this was once the weirdest Michael Jackson picture ever published...

That's great as the old Hong Kong Legends DVD only had the US/International version on it. The Mandarin/Cantonese one has an entirely different opening and end credits sequence (this was the one that showed on Channel 4 television in the UK a few times), with a different song. But both are important - Here's the Mandarin opening credit sequence and here's the US version with very James Bond-y title sequence, even down to having John Barry score it!

We hinted at this in yesterday's flashback on The Town that Dreaded Sundown, now were are officially confirming it: 1979's THE EVICTORS - directed by Charles B. Pierce and starring Jessica Harper (Suspiria) - will be receiving its own solo Blu-ray upgrade with a new film transfer. Expect it to occupy a release date sometime in early Summer.

Wow, I never thought that would get a release! And, until yesterday, its unforgettable climax (major spoilers!) featured the most awkward awards show acceptance speech sequence ever!

Plus its got perhaps Ray Liotta's most psychotic role, as the first in a long line of 'horrible brutish men' brutalising our heroine! (Its kind of the film I'd imagine Lars von Trier would make about Hollywood!) And that's saying something!

They've been asked about the soundtrack a few times on their facebook page, but they haven't answered the question.

Figured this was coming. One of the few Walter Hill films I've enjoyed, and its racial satire of gentrification is only too timely
