Took just enough advantage of this as I could afford to (Lifeforce, People Under the Stairs, Army of Darkness, Escape from NY, and Beyond the Gates, which I know next to nothing about, but my friend is in it). Is there a handy guide around comparing Arrow/Shout overlap titles (how many are there? Probably fewer than I'm imagining)?

Really sad that the Larry Fessenden collection went out of stock before I could finish my order but a good sale nonetheless.

Three O'Clock High is HUGE news. Probably the best American teen comedy of the 1980's, and a visually brilliant work
that's been long neglected. Director Phil Joanou intended to make After Hours in a high school, and he succeeded. Incredible
cinematography by Barry Sonnenfeld, whose work echoes some of the tricks he did immediately afterwards in Raising Arizona. Fingers crossed for the deleted scenes that appeared on cable television airings, and Phil Joanou's USC thesis film Last Chance Dance, which led to his deal with Amblin and directing this.

I remember watching it on cable in the late 90's. There was a hilariously prescient moment with Eddie Vedder talking about songs being overplayed on the radio, and at that same time Pearl Jam's cover of "Last Kiss" was in heavy, heavy rotation on the radio.

Amazing. This might be the worst film ever made. I highly recommend everyone see this horrid piece of shit.

Some samples:

The infamous dance scene. Can you guess who sponsored this film?

The even more infamous wheelchair scene.

Go ahead and laugh. It's that terrible.

All the things I've seen and read about Mac and Me only made me wanting to watch it at least once, just to see how bad it is.

It's a rip off of ET but it's more than that. It also functions as the longest McDonald's and Coca-Cola ad you'll ever see. I watched this as a joke and laughed so hard I became light headed. It is so bad, so inept it cannot be taken seriously by anyone. Watch this if only to show you that a lot of other things you dislike are significantly better in comparison.
