Proud to have been one of seemingly 12 people who bought Bad Girl.

They said later on in the thread that Bad Girl sold so poorly that it was the only title from the entire deal to not crack 2000 in sales and that it was over 500 copies sold less than the next lowest selling title

How many/which films were part of this deal?

Since Bad Girl, they have released Disputed Passage, Desire, and Little Man, What Now? from Borzage. I wonder how well they did, although there are other selling points, like Dietrich/Cooper.

Makes sense, I get the impression that the average KLSC collector is more interested in scooping OOP copies of Celtic Pride on eBay for $100+ than pay $10 to try out a board favorite here
Honestly the single most "it me" and "why not both" of all time right here. Love Celtic Pride. Love Bad Girl.

Another thing the Kino Insider said was that they did not ask MGM for Thief or Manhunter because they don't want to work with Michael Mann.

Update on the Paramount deal
We dropped Underworld (1927) and replaced it with two titles making the disc debuts, both from the 60s.

...why would they have released that anyways, considering the Criterion is in print?

It was supposedly from a 4K transfer done in 2020, but given how hit or miss Paramount's in-house 4K transfers are, it was questionable how much better it would have looked.

I'd much rather have the enticing new-to-disc 60s films, though if they got them 2-for-1, I may regret holding out hope!

Real possibility of a Monkey's Paw situation there.

More OOP based on previously being in the "While Supplies Last" sale and now no longer appearing on the website:

Boomerang (1947)
Chosen Survivors (1974)
Daddy Long Legs (1955)
What a Way to Go! (1964)

Sheba is great but I already have the Imprint Blu. The other two are two of the worst films nominated for Best Picture in the 50s. At least one of them was already out from Imprint (and maybe both, I didn’t pay too close attention)

Anyone who can say they want to own and rewatch Days of Wine and Roses should love Come Back, Little Sheba as well, which is an even-better movie about alcoholism. It's different in its examination of the effects on a family system, but the Venn diagram is safe

All three were released by Imprint but only The Country Girl remains in print
