Nice surprise. I love this movie, but was so disappointed by the Kino. Hopefully Arrow can improve on the image of the very drab Kino.

This is MoC, not Arrow.

MoC feels a bit like the UK’s Billy Wilder home, with a number of his films in their catalogue (the obvious exception being Arrow’s upcoming The Apartment). Let’s hope they do something wonderful with this late masterpiece. Then bring on Avanti!

Was hoping it'd be The Fortune Cookie, but I'm happy with this as well. I suppose they may do more Wilder titles in the near future!

I know. This would have been one of the titles that I would've picked up during Kino's sale, but like the others, the encoding was supposed to be a massive disappointment. I'm glad I skipped that sale, except for Fantomas and maybe a few others, there's very little from Kino that hasn't been done or will be done by someone else with a better reputation.

That's just not true if you're looking at Hollywood cinema, for starters

I have to agree with Dom. My Amazon wishlist at this point is roughly just two dozen Kino titles that are not available anywhere else.

I've probably bought more Kino titles this year than anyone but Criterion and Arrow, and my Christmas wish list contains half a dozen Kinos as well.

Still, I've waited on this and a few others, and this waiting continues to pay off.

I'll have to qualify that statement to Kino titles that I would want to get. I have very few now, because almost every title I've gotten from them was eventually sold and replaced by a UK reissue of the same title.

You're definitely right that it happens, but no more than 10-20% of the time. Kino's (and Olive's!) output just far exceeds Arrow, MOC, Indicator, S1, or BFI.
