It's like hanging out in a donut shop but refuse to eat donuts.

Siegmund Popert
Arnold Fanck
Jean deRovera
Othmar Gurtner
Wilhelm Prager
Carl Junghans
Rudolf Schaad
André Michel

An unifying theme is that everyone except André Michel directed Olympics documentaries in the 20s & 30s.

Seems like a super Eclipse set, but I'm fully expecting it just to me a Filmstruck category for next month (not that it'd really make sense, considering how there's no Olympics anytime soon anyway)

I was thinking more along the lines of supplements for Riefenstahl's Olympia...

If I recall, some of his movies that Kino distributed are out of print. Maybe we can expect one of his mountain films to join the collection; we already have one of his shorts on the Criterion release of Clouds of Sils Maria.

Memorial day is only two weeks away, so it just wouldn't make sense to get it out on time today.

After the Twilight Time announcement of 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag, I think Criterion can comfortably close up shop knowing they did their best.

So that is Curtiz's second film on Criterion. It is a shame they could not get their hands on To Have and Have Not.

No new additions since this morning. So, perhaps we'll be getting a couple of upgrades.

it still could be a double clue for Arsenic and old lace, to explain that old lace too next to it.

anyway, so much for people insisting it was alcohol.
