Speaking of digipaks, according to Jon Mulvaney: Fire Walk With Me will be packaged as a digi.

Yikes those all look like poor fan-made covers.

I'm pretty sure Lynch wants his Criterion covers to be not too derivative from the original posters.

Derivative or divergent?

They're fine. I appreciate that the classic Hollywood covers probably have weird requirements about featuring particular stars and at least it's not just a boring photo like It Happened One Night got.

They used the poster art for Desert Hearts, I stand corrected!

Every single part of me wants to hate that Philadelphia Story cover but it's just so eye-catching that I can't

Jabberwocky looks great, though there really couldn't have been any other piece of art that they used. The rest are fine except Le Samourai.

The fellow on the left looks a lot more like Robert Taylor or Robert Montgomery than Cary Grant.

Yes, Jabberwocky looks good. Le Samouraï could have used an updated type treatment (with the same artwork). The typeface selection is subpar. The title on the Philadelphia Story looks great but the illustrations are rushed: no hips but massive shoulders on Hepburn and that ’s supposedly Grant….

That's funny, I think Stewart looks more like Taylor on the cover

I think Stewart is the only only who looks like himself on that cover. I actually liked the Warner dvd cover better.

I mean, that's kind of what she looked like anyway. Not really a lady known for her hourglass figure. Stick her in an Adrian gown and that's what you get.

Not crazy about The Philadelphia Story cover. Primarily because of the color scheme. It doesn't work.

They had to stick to this month's blue and gray color palette

The theatrical poster and the DVD cover posted above have a red color scheme, which is what I associate with the movie. The blues and grays make for a drab cover.

I always liked the original Warner DVD cover myself:

The one thing I do like about this new cover is that Hepburn is positioned and dressed as a Greek goddess as she's so frequently referred to in the film, complete with the "o" in Story forming a massive halo.
