Their recent article (updated every Friday, apparently) lists quite a number of notable deletions for the next couple of months. :(
I have a feeling some of those will come back, and perhaps sooner than later. This happens with Netflix a lot, an old movie will be there for a few months than come back around.

For something like Filmstruck, though, that purports to be an [eventually] fully featured Criterion catalog, "cycling" and removing films like this is an unfortunate decision.

As the article clearly states, the titles that are marked as on the Criterion Channel do not disappear from the Criterion channel, as that is *not* a rotating catalog

There are Criterion titles leaving as well, though. On the other hand, titles like Under The Sun of Satan, which have not been available on disc are a refreshing find.

The ones Criterion released on disc that are leaving are presumably ones they don't have the streaming rights to, like Blow-Up, Blow Out and the Qatsi films. Generally speaking, they probably don't have the rights to the U.S. and British films on the Leaving Filmstruck list.

Too rich for my blood. I'm fine with my MOC DVD, but Cohen's release got good reviews if I recall

I started beta testing the Roku app. It shows promise and it's a nice looking design, but it's still not fully functional yet. I'm looking forward to when it's (truly) ready!

Ah, Querelle! Must say, the book is so much better. The studio sets give the film a fantasy-like feel while the book's strengths are in its stark, almost brutal depiction of sexuality. Odd for Fassbinder, who always seemed like a realist to me - but certainly in line with his stylized work from the early 80s like Lola and Veronika Voss.

Don't have Chromecast, but since Roku's still in the beta testing phase and has some bugs, it wouldn't be a fair comparison.
