Why is Warners sitting on a Hi-Def master like that? Seems like it wouldn't cost that much and make sense to release both simultaneously

I actually agree. Even though I like the Clark Gable version more, the Brando version is not bad (I just find that it drags more). It would make more sense to put them out on the same day. And who knows, maybe they will and they just haven't announced it yet.

I like the Brando version too. I wish they did a different cover though.

The press release mentions the negative was recently discovered, so I'm looking forward to how the new one looks.domino harvey wrote:Why is Warners sitting on a Hi-Def master like that? Seems like it wouldn't cost that much and make sense to release both simultaneously
An early list of the Warner Bros. Blu-Ray releases a while back listed both the Gable and Brando films for the end of 2010, so it could still come out later.
