"If my apartment spoke" isn't a bad Portuguese translation at least! My favorite was probably Inverno de Sangue em Veneza for Don't Look Now!

Yes, "Blood Winter in Venice" is a great title for Roeg's film. It sounds appropriately foreboding and macabre in Portuguese.

Only belongs here because it's using the font for "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".

I think this is far more confounding in its existance than an example of bad design. But still, the fuck is this?!

But it's beautiful! It's a very well composed image, with lovely colours. And I like the cleaver-cleavage visual rhyme.

Something looks off to me. I'm not sure, but I think it's because the visual painting-like style seems so simplified in its lack of texture that it makes the drawing looks like a very low rez one. Or a very DNR one, à la Le samourai @ Pathé.

It’s either just a “paint” filter applied to existing imagery or the work of an artist who produces work that looks like same

Nope, this is Mark Maddox’s work. He’s an oil painter. I much preferred his Dracula Prince of Darkness cover, which is a shame because this is a better movie.

This wouldn't be a bad cover except neither Mitzi Gaynor nor David Wayne were even alive when this film is set, so

Purchasing the Peter Coyote Sims expansion pack finally paid off for whoever made this cover

I saw that cover announced today on Facebook and said to myself "This will be in the Worst DVD Covers Ever Thread before the end of the day.". This is a scene from the film yes? Surely it doesn't look that bad in the film?

I know I saw that film but I'm damned if I can remember anything about it

It’s based on one of the original press stills from the film

That’s perfectly fine and it conveys the nature of the puzzles too (there’s a fair bit of physics-defying shenanigans in some of the rooms). I’m actually impressed they did artwork like that for a movie like Escape Room instead of just slapping the poster on there and calling it done.

And for the record, Escape Room is cute but not great. It’s a kind-of riff on Cube with a fad thrown on as a veneer.
