Apparently MGM/FOX have raised their prices to RSP $19.99, same as Ball of fire.
The Stranger
Raise The Red Lantern
The Woman in the Window
They also list a new release for Inherit the Wind, hopefully anamorphic this time.

Apparently, MGM is coming with their individual line of film noir. But, some genius thinks he can charge SRP$ 19.99 for barebones discs. Anyhow, the artwork is lovely.

I will definitely be picking up these film noirs. Perhaps MGM is taking up Fox's slack on continuing to keep film noir viable on the DVD market. While, I too bemoan the lack of special features, it is still great to have the opportunity to see these films and to own them on DVD. Perhaps someday we will be able to see all the films considered to have been part of the stylistic element of film noir in American cinema.

They already did a very nice transfer of The Stranger in R2land, and will probably release the same. But $20?!arsonfilms wrote:I hate Hate HATE MGM. Just a couple of extras and I'd have ponied up, but now I'll be forced to rent.
I swear to god though, if they fuck up the transfer on The Stranger...
