Yes, Yes, "Meet Me in St. Louis" is indeed all that has been written here.

I am quite familiar with the film from numerous TV showings and now your incessant ranting (or is that raving) has driven me to order the film from the recent sale. A mere $13.02 from DD DVD. It has arrived today.

If the restoration is as good as you suggest, I'll be very happy.

No need to worry about that. Warners treatment of Meet Me in St. Louis is worth more than Liz's sapphire. PRICELESS! And I hope you enjoy the movie as much I am these days when I find myself longing to spin the disc again and again. I'm its tootsie-wootsie now and always.

DVDBeaver

Anyone want to venture what this line is even supposed to mean from the review:
You could easily play this Blu-ray with video.

As he's writing about the impressiveness of the soundtrack, I think he means "without video"!

I wonder if Gary knows you can "easily" do that with any DVD or BD.

Why would you ever disable the video to a movie when there could be nudity at any moment?

BAM is screening this all weekend - anyone go yet? I'm wondering about the print quality and whether it's an IB Tech print.

Why wouldn't it just be a DCP?

Incidentally, why does the Blu-ray omit the damn mono?!

I wound up going. Excellent 35mm print, not sure if it was an IB Tech print but it did not have that browning that can come with a vintage IB tech print.

I would think they would advertise an IB tech print, no? They did when they screened Vertigo.
