Just stumbled on what appears to be a new release of Themroc on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.fr/Themroc-Michel-Pic ... ds=themroc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It appears to be distributed by a French company called Tamasa, but when I had a look on their website I couldn't find any further information on it. Anyone seen this DVD around? Is it worth getting?

Re: Themroc
I want to know if there is an option to view the film with a red triangle in the top right hand corner just to make us Brits of a certain age feel nostalgic.

DVDClassik seems reasonably happy with it. I'll probably buy it myself, after I've whittled down the Christmas pile of box sets (Rossellini (2), Dreyer, Jarmusch, Tati, Kurosawa). I remember it well from two TV screenings. I don't think the lack of English subtitles will be a problem.

Yeah, there's not a great deal to translate from "grrr" and "arrrrggh!", is there.

Re: Themroc
Studio Canal has made a 4K restoration of this movie and released it on DVD, strange I know!
I just received a copy from FNAC in France. 'm in the process of adding it to the Bluray.com database. As a bonus teh DVD has a 9 minute insert of Big Cats, Whatever the hell that is.
Here is some more info (In French): https://www.tamasa-cinema.com/boutique/ ... tauree-4k/

I have a German DVD release from years ago. Shame that it hasn't been released on Blu Ray by Studio Canal. Maybe Kino or someone in the UK will release itBartonFink wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 12:55 amStudio Canal has made a 4K restoration of this movie and released it on DVD, strange I know!

Would be great to have a box set of all of Claude Faraldo's films released - they are so hard to see.
