Perhaps. As a reminder, Phenomena was 40% sold out as of a month ago. Also, that one only has the UK print run, whereas Bird will have separate US and UK runs.Ribs wrote:Considering the higher print runs I wouldn't be surprised if the Argento sets stick around a bit

Ah, I thought both were going in both territories. My mistake!

FWIW, I've gotten confirmation that part-shipping is in effect for this sale, so you can consolidate pre-orders with in-stock items and get everything as they come available.

Does Arrow by any chance sell their clear blu-ray cases?

Re: Arrow: Cheapest Prices/Best Places to Buy/Pre-Orders/Dea
No, they don't. I recently found a seller and bought a bunch of 1-disc, 2-discs and 3-discs clear 14 mm replacement cases via eBay. Shipping is a killer compared to the item price.Jean-Luc Garbo wrote:Does Arrow by any chance sell their clear blu-ray cases?

Any ideas on whether it is better to wait for the June sale to purchase the Taisho Trilogy? Is the current, pre-order price likely to increase after it is released? Thanks.

It's unlikely to sell out before then, and the price is also unlikely to change.

Arrow's saying on Twitter that due to the ongoing offers at other stores the next sale will be "later in the year."

News Alert: Our biggest ever http://www.arrowfilms.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Summer Sale, will take place this year between July 19-31, with more titles than ever before and lots of recent titles appearing at their first sale price.
This will be the last sale through our current site, as we have been working away at implementing a new website launch - with improved functionality, more product lines and much, much more - to take place early Autumn. Stay tuned for more information.

What could more product lines mean? Obviously the Second Run catalog, but what else could they mean?

Presumably the books/vinyl/other 'quality items' that they've previously suggested they'll be entering into the realm of.Ribs wrote:What could more product lines mean? Obviously the Second Run catalog, but what else could they mean?

Re: Arrow: Cheapest Prices/Best Places to Buy/Pre-Orders/Dea
Is there any reason to be concerned about points? I'm pretty sure Arrow's indicated they are intending to keep the system around but I'd hate to lose the double-points pre-order thing that's basically kept me locked-in pre-ordering direct from Arrow for several years.

They mentioned in a comment on FB that points will be preserved.

For some reason I recall hearing about big sales coming from Arrow. Am I correct and if so, is it this week?

What a freaking nightmare their website became over the years.
The long-announced upgrade is definitely required.

Re: Arrow: Cheapest Prices/Best Places to Buy/Pre-Orders/Dea
Their website isn't exactly charming, but what they need urgently is more bandwidth and multiple servers to handle the surge in traffic. For a business like Arrow (and I'm assuming this to be true which might not be the case), having an enterprise solution, not off-the-shelf plans, is the answer. A new website which is optimized and has better database handling, etc is the long-term solution.
I love Arrow and what they do, so this is painful for everyone.

I remember them saying this will be the last sale on this website, but I'm unsure if they specified when exactly the upgrade will be performed.Apperson wrote:Didn't they say an update is coming in August?
I'm wondering however if people ordering from Arrow's website are suddenly 10 times more than what they were last month.
