Yes, that's certainly true. I just watched the interview with Pierre Arditi on Love Unto Death last night and he talks about how uniquely considerate Resnais's crews are; he recalls one time he saw two sound engineers engage in a heated argument in total silence so they wouldn't distract the actors. I'm also reminded of an interview with Kevin Bacon where he talked about how most film sets are full of panic and tension but Clint Eastwood's shoots are like a solemn church service.

Surely there is some middle ground between being Christlike and screaming "fuck" at your coworkers for five minutes while threatening to attack them. The latter is frowned upon in my workplace.

I'm honestly surprised that everyone is so "shocked" about this. Hollywood has always been built upon a foundation of prima donnas, divas and general assholes on both sides of the camera. Bale's freakout is only surprising because it's one of the rare times these kinds of cases has been made public. And it's only more shocking because it's from an actor who keeps a relatively low profile off camera. This shit happens all the time and there are plenty of actors around Hollywood who have a terrible reputation for this, or similar, kinds of behavior. Would the reaction from the media or public had been the same if it was Russell Crowe who was caught having a hissy fit?

Bale became a hero to cast and crew after his tirade against Hurlbut, who was widely despised, sources tell RadarOnline.com exclusively. "Hurlbut was a condescending (bleep) to everyone," a source told us. His favorite line was "Why don't you go stab yourself in the head, you idiot."

I recall him being discussed in the casting of Gibson's Christporn, which perhaps is not a valid recollection, but his being in a movie about the virgin mother takes the cake, eats it, and then wallows in guilt about it unto moments before death, where it is absolved of its guilt and allowed to dream once again of the cake.

On my way to work last week I heard a man screaming that God was drunk when he approached Mary, who told him, "I'm not having that!" But God won in the end. Immediately after, an aggressive man offered me a sheet with information about Jesus. I concluded that I needed a drink.

The furor over this non-issue of an adult getting verbally upset seems driven by that idyllic parental notion that their 10 year olds are starry eyed in the face of the world and shouldn't be exposed to language spewed from the mouths of men entrusted with culturally heroic figures like Batman. ](*,)

Yeah that blew, but I got a good laugh out of seeing Stewie's Sting imitation in that music video.

So, apparently, WB wants McG to make some cuts to the film, but he's fighting tooth and nail to make sure we all get see Moon Bloodgood's boobs.

We've officially got to the point where it's ok to see the insides of the human body, but the outsides are forbidden.

I think this kind of prudery should be fought, even tho' McG is clearly doing it for the wrong reasons.

New trailer. I like the "twist" (for lack of a better word) of machines trying replicate human tissue, so color me interested.

Indeed. Did anyone else catch that less-than-subtle nod to Apocalypse Now during the trailer?

Sounds a bit like Terminator doing Blade Runner. Don't know how the idea will play out, but it's easily mishandled.

Well, it looks like this will be PG-13 after all which means no boobies. You can thank Pizza Hut for that.

I'm sure Watchmen played a part, too.

Wow, just checked the IMDB page on this. Sony is the international distributor, except for Finland. Disney has it there.

Who is Sam Worthington, and how did he get an above-the-title billing? I want his agent...

Yeah, blame them for helping keep America a conservative, reactionary, sex-negative, pseudo-Victorian society.

Oh wait, you meant the movie.

Guys, don't worry, Moon's goods (amirite? lulz) will probably be found among the 30 to 40 minutes worth of deleted scenes on the DVD. No word yet if BDLive will allow teenage boys to collectively jizz in their pants.
